What to expect?

Departing from our agency in the historic centre of Bologna, in just a few minutes you will reach the hills that watch over the city from above. The hills have always been one of the most popular places among locals, the ideal destination to relax in the parks, go for a hike or simply enjoy a traditional meal at the restaurant.

But the hills are also a treasure trove of art and history, and on this Vespa tour you will soon realise this. The first stop we recommend is San Michele in Bosco, a fascinating 14th-century church just outside the centre, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the rooftops of Bologna. Passing by Villa Aldini, a beautiful example of neoclassical architecture from the Napoleonic era, you will then reach the Eremo di Ronzano. Here, strolling in the silent meadow in front of the church, among centuries-old olive trees and cypresses, you will feel as if time has stopped.

Your Vespa tour in the hills will then continue towards Monte Sabbiuno and its spectacular ravines, where you can visit the War Memorial erected to remember the massacre that took place here in 1944. Before heading back towards the centre, you can’t miss a stop on Colle della Guardia to admire the Basilica di San Luca, one of the symbols of Bologna, connected to the city by the longest portico in the world.

This self tour also includes a basket with everything you need for a lunch break with local products.

Most of vehicles we rent are vintage and manual with the clutch and have the rear brake pedal. Our vehicles use a mixture of petrol and oil from 2% to 3% depending on the model. For those with no experience in the scooter with gears, we have 125 Vespa, which are automatic, comfortable and easy to drive, using unleaded petrol.
It is required to be expert in driving the scooter. We do not rent them to those with little experience or to those who have never driven a scooter (manual or automatic). The day of the rental, if we discover the client is not able to drive, we will apply a 100% penalty.

• B Driving License + a deposit of € 500 by credit card (VISA or MASTERCARD)
• It is important the driver is:
    - Expert rider
    - Over 21
• It is important your Driver’s Licence is UE and not:
    - Expired
    - Unreadable
    - Missing
    - Copy
• For Extra UE Citizen is required the international driving license.
