Explore the green hills not far from Bologna and cycle towards one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, Dozza. Our guided tour starts from Castel San Pietro Terme railway station, which you can reach by car or regional train. From here we ride on secondary roads winding through fields and vineyards, and head for the small town of Toscanella.
Here we can admire the first examples of contemporary murals, painted in recent years on some of the town's buildings. Once in Dozza, you can see the beautiful paintings decorating the outside walls of the houses, painted during the Biennale del Muro Dipinto (Biennial Exhibition of the Painted Wall), which make this village really unique.
In Dozza you have time to visit the village and its fortress, the Rocca Sforzesca, home of the regional wine shop of Emilia-Romagna, and to stop for lunch in a typical restaurant also serving vegetarian and vegan options before getting back to our starting point.
